Who is responsible
The controller for the processing described here is the accommodation provider operating under the public name Guest House Denis, Drugo beogradsko naselje, 85360 Donji Štoj, Montenegro.
You can contact us at booking@guesthousedenis.com or by telephone at +382 67 674 779.
Scope of this notice
This notice applies to guesthousedenis.com and reservation inquiries started through the website. The website is static and has no visitor accounts, payment function or reservation database.
A confirmed stay may require additional guest, tourism, tax and accounting records under applicable law. Those records are handled separately from this website inquiry tool.
Website hosting and security
The website is hosted by Vercel. When a page is requested, Vercel may process technical data such as the IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or device information, referrer, system configuration and security events.
We use this processing to deliver the website, prevent abuse and maintain a reliable service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website. We do not use Vercel's technical logs to build advertising profiles. The Meta Pixel is described separately below.
Reservation inquiries
Dates, guest count and a selected room are processed locally in your browser. Nothing is submitted to Guest House Denis merely by opening or completing the inquiry window.
If you choose WhatsApp or email, the prepared message may contain your requested arrival and departure dates, number of guests, room choice and any information you add in the external service. We use it to check availability, answer your inquiry and take steps at your request before an accommodation contract is concluded.
Providing the inquiry information is voluntary. Without dates, guest count and a way to reply, we may not be able to process the request. Please do not include passport details, payment-card data, health information or other sensitive information in an initial inquiry.
WhatsApp and email
When you choose Continue to WhatsApp, the website creates a suggested message in your browser and opens WhatsApp. The information leaves this website only after you choose that option. WhatsApp may process account, connection, IP, browser, device and message information under its own privacy policy.
When you choose email, your device opens its email application. This website does not send or store the email. The message is processed by your email provider, our email-hosting provider and authorised members of Guest House Denis in order to answer you.
You can use email instead of WhatsApp at any time.
Meta Pixel and marketing measurement
This website loads Meta Pixel ID 1263516122401527 from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited on every visit and records a PageView. Immediately before the website opens WhatsApp or your email application, it records the standard Lead event with the generic contact channel WhatsApp or email. When you open our commercial Booking.com listing, it records the custom BookingOutbound event. We do not send reservation dates, guest count, room choice, contact details, email addresses or message content to Meta.
Depending on your browser, Meta account and settings, Meta may receive the visited URL, referrer, time, IP address, browser and device information, event information and identifiers or cookies such as _fbp or _fbc. We use the resulting measurement to understand and improve advertising performance. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring and improving the advertising for our guest house.
If you do not want this measurement, you can block the Pixel with a browser content blocker, restrict cookies in your browser settings, or manage how Meta uses your data in your Meta ad preferences. You can also object to this processing at any time using the contact details below.
Google Maps and Booking.com
The location section contains an embedded Google Maps map. When the map is loaded, your browser connects directly to Google without a separate activation step. Google may process your IP address, browser and device details, referrer, map interactions and cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy.
Links to Booking.com and other external services open only when you choose them. Those providers are responsible for the processing that takes place on their websites or apps.
Legal bases, recipients and transfers
Reservation correspondence is processed to take steps at your request before concluding an accommodation contract. Technical website data is processed for our legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website. Information may also be retained where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Recipients may include authorised members of Guest House Denis, Vercel for hosting and security, our email provider, WhatsApp when you choose that contact method, Google when the embedded map is loaded, Meta through the Meta Pixel, and public authorities where disclosure is required by law.
Some providers may process data outside Montenegro or the European Economic Area. Where applicable, the provider and the responsible party use contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Retention
This website does not create its own reservation-inquiry database. Unconfirmed inquiry correspondence held by Guest House Denis is normally deleted no later than 12 months after the last communication, unless it is needed for an ongoing request or a legal claim.
Information connected with a confirmed booking is kept for the periods required by tourism, guest-registration, tax and accounting law and, where necessary, until relevant legal claims have expired. Technical data held by service providers follows their security and retention settings.
Meta controls retention of data it receives through the Pixel according to its policies and the settings of the connected business account.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data. You may also request restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, request portability where applicable, or withdraw consent for future processing where consent is used.
Send a request to booking@guesthousedenis.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information of Montenegro. Guest House Denis does not use Pixel events to make automated decisions about reservation requests; Meta may use event data for advertising measurement and profiling as described in its own policies.
Cookies, security and changes
We use a first-party cookie (gd-lang, 180 days) to remember your preferred website language, derived once from your browser's language settings or chosen through the language switcher. Meta Pixel may set cookies such as _fbp or _fbc as soon as you visit the website. External services may also use cookies or similar technologies after you deliberately activate or visit them.
We use HTTPS, a content security policy and restrictive browser permissions to protect the website. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
We may update this notice when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current date will always be shown at the top of this page.
